Hello friends, how are you all. Hopefully you will be good and trying to learn something good and new everyday. Friends, a few days ago I made a poll on my Instagram account, in which I asked you to make a question to know the opinion of the people, in which you were asked on which subject I should write the next article. Many of you wanted to express my views on the new education policy. So today I have brought this new education system in front of you, hope you will like it.
Friends, as we all know what is the role of education in our life. We do not address any place we are today or try to become like we dream of any future, without any education. How do we meet people in our lives, how do we make friends, where do we spend most of our time with whom we can do a kind of litmus test of our education. Education can be a way to improve everyone's life, but what is the education that I am talking to you about? Is that a bookish knowledge that we rotted in childhood or were we rotted on the strength of poles? Does education mean the knowledge that we will all come by writing in our board exams or did we come? Or education means who gets what percentage marks. Most of you would still believe that bringing 90% marks or more to your schooling is smart and 60% or less is foolish.
These are our thoughts so far because we have been prepared for this, this idea has been installed in us. Well I want to tell you that education means how efficiently you do your daily work, respecting your elders, serving them and helping others is also part of your education. Many changes have been made in our education system from time to time. It is just this year, on 30 July 2020, a lot of major changes were made in our education policies. This change is one of the biggest changes in history. Come, let's see all these changes once.
1 10 + 2 will be divided into 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 format -
In which the first 5 years of the school will include the basic phase, which will include 3 years of pre-primary and classes 1 and 2. The next 3 years will be divided into preparatory stage, which will be included from class 3 to class 5. The next 3 years will be included in the middle stage (classes 4 to 4) and the next four years as the secondary stage in which classes 4 to 12 will be included.
2 Concrete areas will be removed from all schools -
Under this new education system, concrete streams will be removed from all schools. As you all will remember during your school days, after passing 10th, all of us had to do our further studies in one main area, and my brother sisters still came in this time with 10. This may have happened, but it will not happen now in the coming years.Students will be allowed to choose their subject, now children will be able to select any subject according to their interest, that is, if I have to do Geography with Math, then I can study which was not possible before.
3 Now you will be able to read in your native language -
Many of us have been in English medium schools since childhood, when we were kid, we did not understand what the teachers were saying or trying to understand, because our home environment brought up our childhood is different. It is done in our mother tongue. But now things have been improved. Now in whatever medium you are studying, you will be taught in your mother tongue till class 5. If this method is successful then it will be implemented till class 8. It is only a suggestion that it has not been compulsory. It will be implemented in all public and private schools.
4 Children coming from backward classes will be encouraged -
Under this new education policy, the deserving student, whether he comes from SC/OBC or other poor class, will be encouraged to pursue his studies, he will also be given scholarship and every year he will be fully aware of his progress.
5 Encouraging private higher education institutions -
Under this new policy, all private higher education institutes will be encouraged to encourage more and more qualified students studying in their institution to go ahead and distribute scholarships and free-ships so that they can study further. Special funds will be earmarked for special education.
6 Multi-disciplinary Approach -
Standalone higher education institutes and professional education institutes will be converted into multi-disciplinary institutes. The goal of the new education policy is detailed and flexible knowledge. Institutes that offered single courses such as IITs and AIIMS, where only one kind of studies were taught, now they are also targeted to be multi-disciplinary by 2030. A big multi-disciplinary institution will be started in every district across the country before 2030 so that children living in that village or city do not have to go away from their homes.
7 Combination of AICTE, UGC and NCTE -
A Higher Education Commission will be set up which will act as a main branch within which AICTE, UGC and NCTE will come, but it will have separate medical and legal courses. The same rule will be applicable for all private and government institutions.
8 Exit Options -
One of the last and most important changes of the new education system, under this education system, students will be given exit options. Now remember your college time, when we used to take admission in a course, then we had to study the entire course, then we used to get a Bachelor degree after 3 or 4 years, and if for some reason we had to leave our studies. We did not get anything then and if a person wanted to start his studies again, he had to start again from the first year. But under the new education policy, the Bachelor's degree has been increased from 3 years to 4 years and many exit options have also been given, i.e, if a student studies for 1 year and then leaves, then he will get a certificate, 2 If you complete a diploma on reading for 3 years and complete your studies for 4 years and prepare for the masters further, then the Masters will be of 1 year, otherwise it will be 2 years. Another special thing is that if a student does PhD further then he will not have to do M.Phil.Also, if a student wants to resume his studies, then he can continue from where he left his studies.
Now it comes to those students who take admission in another course due to wrong guidance, but later they are not interested in that subject, then they can also switch their course and they do not need to study from the beginning. You can study from the next class from where they left the course, that is, if you have completed your BSc for one year and now you want to go to BCom, then you can take direct admission in BCom from the second year. Your academic credits will be saved digitally.
